CoremanNet wins important Ecodesign award

- CoremanNet won the 2015 German Federal Ecodesign award in the service category
- The Circular Economy Solutions GmbH has developed and implemented an international network to close the loop for used automotive parts. This sustainable service enables the industry to save resources and is also adaptable to other business sectors.
Berlin – CoremanNet was awarded the Ecodesign award by the German Federal Environmental Ministry. According to the jury, the service for circular economy was awarded the renowned distinction in the “service” category for being a service provider, “completing material cycles, significantly saving resources and being applicable to other sectors.”
The award was issued at the Federal Environmental Ministry’s gala November 23, 2015.
CoremanNet already runs the world’s largest service network for the return of used automotive parts for remanufacturing. Throughout the upcoming years, solutions for additional sectors will grow even more.
Ecodesign jury nominated 34 projects out of 288 candidates
The Federal Ecodesign award, awarded for the fourth consecutive time this year, honors products, services and concepts standing out for their ecological and creative quality. For this year’s Ecodesign competition, a total of 288 candidates applied for the product, concept, service and young-talent categories.
Out of these candidates, the experts of the Federal Environmental Office and design experts selected a total of 137 projects. Out of these, the jury, made up of several prominent personalities, nominated 34 projects. Four of them were finally awarded the 2015 Federal Ecodesign award.
In 2016, the award winners and nominees will be presented at a touring exhibition, in fairs and in museums all over the Federal Republic of Germany. The award winners and nominees will also attend upcoming workshops and events.
